(I have been working on this post for about a month so I am way behind, but hopefully you can still enjoy)
Cabin Fever!!
We went with some friends to a cabin the middle of May. The cabin was our first official trip with Drew. We relaxed, ate a ton of food, played games, rode some 4 wheelers, enjoyed the beautiful mountains and had a blast! (Thanks to the friends who made it all possible!)
It was so much fun... until the ride home. We hit a deer in our new Pilot and it smashed in the right front side of our car. At first my reaction was "my new car that I love is all smashed up!!" then "oh that poor deer" ( I saw a limb fly off). Of course Ted's reaction was let's say a prayer of thanks for being safe (what a good man I married). It is so good that we were in the Pilot instead of the Civic because I guarantee it would have come through the windshield. So after getting over my initial reaction, I was just so grateful that we were in a safe car and that everything was fine. Luckily our insurance has covered the damage (we just got the car back!). So in the end not a big deal, but a little scary.
Before we went to the cabin Drew had a Dr. appointment and he weighed 12lbs. 10 oz. which as the Dr. put it 99% of babies his age are bigger than he is. The Dr. said he isn't too concerned but he wants to try and fatten him up. So he told me to put margarine and sugar in his food and wanted me to be more consistent on his zantac. We started adding margarine and giving him more fruit and he is fattening up, now he weighs over 14 lbs.

Dog Fest
Every memorial day Ted's family has "Dog Fest" where we go up American Fork canyon and roast hot dogs. It was a beautiful day in the canyon and we all had a blast. It was Drew's first camp fire.
Millcreek Canyon
Also, on Memorial Day we went with my family up Millcreek canyon and had s'mores and went on a little hike. It was also beautiful! I couldn't think of a better way to spend my day.
Swimming!
Drew had his first swimming experience at the pool where we live and he loved it. He just sits back and relaxes (I think he knows how to relax well just like his dad). It is fun to have the pool (although the rain has made it a little hard to use as much as I would like).
The swim diapers don't come in a smaller size so they are huge on him.

What a handsome little guy! I ALWAYS love to see new pictures of Drew. (Oh, and by the way - you never told me that you saw an actual deer limb fly off! Ahhhh!) :)
Thank you for a new post!! I always check, and it's so fun to see what you have been up to the last several months. So sad about your new car!! I love it that you are now feeding drew extra margarin and sugar. I want my doctor to put me on the "eat extra fat and sugar" diet. Sounds fantastic.
I was so glad that you finally updated the blog. I love the pictures and I am so glad that you and Ted and Drew are safe. Those deer, I tell ya they are one of the most dangerous animals out there. HAHA
OK seriously whats my deal. I haven't even been checking this thing! Even though you have told me almost everything it was still so fun to read and see pics. He really is such a cute kids. Sure do like being able to babysit so I get to know him a little better. It always makes me love my nieces and nephews more when I get to babysit them. Love ya. P.S. you need to give me some blog tips. Loved how you organized it.
