Just another day on Dad's lapDrew has been home for a week now! I don't know how it happened, but ever since I posted that last entry, Drew has been sleeping like a champion at night (could it be the Utes?)! He will get up once or twice to eat, but then go right back down! We have great reason to be thankful, and we are very much aware of that.
His first doctor's appointment this last Tuesday turned out to be pretty routine. Everything looked normal. We did set up an appointment to go back in on this upcoming Tuesday for another blood test and a circumcision. And then the next day, we have an appointment for him to get an EEG (I guess EEGs test the brain for evidence of seizures), and we will also see a neurologist at Primary Childrens' (this will be Wednesday, December 3). When we set up the appointment for the EEG, they instructed us to bring him in on Wednesday morning "sleep deprived." One week ago, I would've said that that wouldn't be a problem -- now I am not quite sure how that is going to work. Sarah thinks that the fact that he will have been circumcised the day before will be enough to deprive him of any sleep for a long time. She's probably right. Whatever the case, we are hoping that Drew's visit with the neurologist will be the beginning of the end of Drew's dreaded nightly dosage of phenolbarbitol (anti-seizure meds).
In light of the Thanksgiving holiday, I must conclude by saying that I don't think we have ever had more reason to be thankful -- Drew is absolutely precious.

We are so glad to hear that things are going so well. What a good boy to cooperate so well at night. Bravo, Drew! We hope that the two of you are getting plenty of rest yourselves. Let us know if you need anything we can offer! (and we can offer a lot of good stuff...believe you me)
We are happy to hear that Drew is sleeping. I agree with Sarah, he probably will be plenty mad at the little procedure that he will not sleep that night. I hope that all appointments go well. Promise to post the results. Get more pics. on though. We love to see him. You and Sarah should be in those pics. too. Love you guys!!!

I can't believe we haven't gotten over there! Everyone is dying to see him! We are all healthy and Nutcracker is over! Maybe this week? We will call before we come! He is so cute and I am glad things are going well! That is great that he is sleeping at night!

Hello Sarah and Ted and Drew! I just returned to work a few days ago and just today I got the scoop on your new baby. i was directed to tyour blog and so I have done a quick catch up. I'm glad to hear that Drew is home. He is adorable! I love the picture of Sarah sitting by the "lighted bed". I am happy to hear that your son is not a sucker, but I am also happy to hear that now he is. And, I am delighted that he is a Ute fan. I guess a game like that could soothe even the screamiest of the screamiest ute fans as it seemed to do for Drew.

I can't believe I have not checked out your blog till now...after I read all the nerve racking first posts I am glad to hear that everything with Drew is going alright! He is the CUTEST little baby! (and I see a lot of babies!) He really is just adorable. I am so glad to hear that he has started sleeping, hopefully that means that you two can sleep as well. I also have to add that Ted your blog posts are awesome! I have never been privileged to meet you, but you had me laughing at some of the things you wrote! Also I agree that I him sleeping and the Utes winning are definitely correlated :) Congratulations on your new little one, keep up with the posts and pictures I love them!

He's so cute! It's been a while since I've checked your blog, this motherhood thing keeps me kindof busy. I'm glad to hear that things are going well. Good luck with things this week. Do you need anything? I'd still love to come and see him when it's convenient for you.
